February 19, 2024 Censorship Stifling Exchange FB Post by Investigative Journalist – POST was never approved in the No to the No to Barge Facebook Group.

Post pending with the freedom adverse admins: My day wraps up after delving deep into the mines of truth, essentially Google Search, to unearth intriguing nuggets of knowledge about this cruise liner claim. However, I find myself pondering the disappearance of my previous two posts, seemingly deleted by the admins. In those posts, I verified the claims made about an alleged statement by Alex Bailey, claims that appeared duplicitous at best. It brings to mind a quote by Alan Moore, right before Hugo Weaving engages in that twirly whirly fight scene with two short swords. Quite entertaining, indeed!
“Because while the truncheon may be used in lieu of conversation, words will always retain their power. Words offer the means to meaning, and for those who will listen, the enunciation of truth.” ― Alan Moore, V for Vendetta
This situation highlights the issue with censorship, as would-be tyrants and those with narrow minds employ it to suppress the truth. This is inherently insidious and harms the fabric of our society by stifling the exchange of ideas and opinions. While this may be just one forum, it prompts the question: Why stop here? How many “bans” are we willing to accept and enforce on others? Let people speak, and let’s put an end to the censorship culture.
Now, let’s dive into the nitty-gritty of what an investigative journalist does. The claim on the table is that the cancellation of a cruise by Princess Cruise lines was estimated to cost around £400,000 due to protests. Some individuals here attribute this to Alex Bailey. However, my research indicates that two groups were protesting on that day. One is No To The Barge, seemingly formed around concerns about imposing on an asylum seeker housing facility without local consultation. The other group is called Stand Up To Racism Dorset, or SUTRD, which might sound a bit like “stuttered,” but I’m sure there’s no intentional link. So, why isn’t the blame for the financial loss equally divided between these two groups?
Stay tuned for my upcoming post as I delve into the £400,000 number. My aim is to uncover the truth behind the claim and set the record straight for those who appear determined to wrongly attribute events to just one individual. Let’s get to the bottom of this!
